Available Positions and Responsibilities
Customer Assistants
Customer Assistants are the backbone of Ackermans’ customer service. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting customers with product selections and inquiries
- Maintaining clean and organized sales floors
- Supporting stock replenishment and displays
- Ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers
Minimum Requirements:
- South African ID
- Grade 10 or higher
- Friendly and professional attitude
- Ability to work retail hours including weekends
Salary: R4,500 – R6,000 per month
Cashiers
Cashiers play a key role in providing a smooth checkout experience. Responsibilities include:
- Accurately processing customer transactions
- Handling cash, card, and electronic payments
- Assisting customers with queries and returns
- Maintaining a clean and efficient checkout area
Minimum Requirements:
- South African ID
- Grade 10 or higher
- Attention to detail and good numeracy skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment
Salary: R4,500 – R6,500 per month
Shelf Packers
Shelf Packers help ensure products are available and presented neatly to customers. Responsibilities include:
- Stocking shelves according to company standards
- Organizing stock rooms and displays
- Assisting with inventory checks and reporting shortages
- Supporting store operations as needed
Minimum Requirements:
- South African ID
- Grade 9 or higher
- Physically able to lift and move products
- Reliable and hardworking
Salary: R5,000 – R7,000 per month
