Programme Overview
The Diploma in General Nursing is an NQF Level 6 qualification, regulated by R.171 of the South African Nursing Council. The programme consists of 364 credits and is conducted in English across four campuses: Giyani, Sovenga, Thohoyandou, and Sekhukhune.
Successful candidates will receive a diploma endorsed by a Higher Education Institution, enabling registration with the South African Nursing Council for General Nursing.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Hold a Senior Certificate with endorsement (Matric exemption) or a National Senior Certificate with a Bachelor’s Degree Pass.
- Achieve a minimum of 24 points on the rating scale (excluding Life Orientation).
- Have passed English, Biology/Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Mathematics, or Maths Literacy at the required levels.
- Be South African citizens residing in Limpopo Province.
