Key Duties and Responsibilities

The Clerk: Cashier will play a vital role in ensuring accurate financial transactions and smooth daily operations within the factory shop.

Main Responsibilities Include:

• Receiving payments for goods sold (cash and card transactions)
• Operating the till accurately and efficiently
• Counting and verifying money to ensure correctness against goods sold
• Recording totals of daily transactions
• Reconciling cash received with goods sold
• Assisting with general duties in and around the factory shop

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this role, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification
• Fluent in Business English
• Ability to work straight shifts
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays when required
