The learnership programme runs for a period of 12 months. It includes a mentorship and coaching component that covers all aspects of the baking process, allowing learners to gain hands-on experience while building professional skills that are essential for a successful career in the industry.

SETA Accreditation Programme

This is a SETA-accredited learnership. Successful candidates will receive a formal qualification endorsed by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA). Learners will be exposed to practical work aligned with both RCL FOODS operational requirements and SETA standards throughout the programme.

Purpose of the Programme

Through the Supreme Siyabhaka Academy, the programme focuses on three key objectives:

  2. Growing awareness of RCL Foods’ baking brands as symbols of excellence and consistency, associating the brand with best-in-class skills, service, and products.
  3. Leading the industry by raising the standard of in-store and professional bakery products, changing consumer perceptions, and strengthening customer relationships.

Minimum Requirements for RCL Foods Learnership for 2026

  • Grade 12 qualification with Hospitality Studies and Mathematics (Literacy) is essential.
  • Computer literacy (MS Office) is advantageous.
  • Demonstrates drive to achieve performance and targets.
  • Willingness to learn, grow, and adapt.
  • Creative thinking, lateral problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach.
