Job Description
A Security Officer protects property, monitors premises, ensures safety, and reports suspicious activities. Some roles require armed response while others focus on access control and CCTV monitoring.
Main Responsibilities
Writing daily activity reports
Monitoring entrances and exits
Patrolling the premises
Using radios and reporting incidents
Checking visitor registers
Responding to alarms
Following safety procedures
Minimum Requirements
- Valid PSIRA Certificate (Grade C, B, or A)
- Matric is an advantage
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work day or night shifts
- Physically fit
- For armed positions: valid firearm competency
