Requirements
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
Valid PSIRA registration
Relevant security qualification
Grade C security qualification or higher
Previous security experience will be an advantage
Retail security experience will be advantageous
Good communication skills
Good observation skills
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
Ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
Must be reliable, punctual and disciplined
Must be physically fit to perform security duties

Duties and Responsibilities
Successful candidates may be responsible for:
Protecting company property, customers and employees
Conducting regular security patrols
Monitoring entrances and exits
Preventing theft, losses and criminal activities
Controlling access to the premises
Conducting searches where required
Monitoring suspicious activities
Responding to security incidents and emergencies
Maintaining a visible security presence
Completing occurrence books and incident reports
Reporting security breaches to management
Assisting customers and staff when necessary
Following all company security procedures and instructions
