Location: Gauteng (e.g., Johannesburg / Pretoria metro areas)

Minimum Requirements:

 

  • School Report or Certificate (minimum Grade 10; Grade 12 preferred)
  • Valid PSIRA registration (Grade C, B, or A)
  • Security training certificates (basic security training and, if applicable, firearm / armed competency)
  • Unarmed officers: Grade C minimum; Armed officers: Grade B or A with Regulation 21 firearms certificate

Working Shifts:

 

  • Day, night, rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays
  • 8–12-hour shift cycles; weekly rotation of shift schedules

Responsibilities:

 

  • Patrol assigned areas and maintain a visible security presence during shifts
  • Authorize and control the entry and exit of people and vehicles
  • Conduct security searches according to company procedures
  • Monitor CCTV or other surveillance systems; report suspicious behavior
  • Respond immediately to alarms, emergencies, or security incidents
  • Assist staff or visitors; manage conflicts calmly
  • Keep detailed incident reports, including unusual events
  • Secure all entry points (doors, gates, windows) at the end of the shift

Job Post 2: Security Supervisor / Area Manager – KwaZulu‑Natal, Durban Area (Grade A)

 

Location: KwaZulu‑Natal (Durban and surrounds)

 

Provinces Covered: KwaZulu‑Natal

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

  • School Report or Certificate (Grade 12 or equivalent)
  • PSIRA Grade A certification
  • Security Management / Supervisory training certificates
  • Firearm Competency (Regulation 21) preferred

Working Shifts:

 

  • Standard day shifts (08:00–17:00) with after-hours standby for urgent matters
  • Rotational weekend and night support as required

Responsibilities:

 

  • Supervise multiple security teams at different client sites; manage Day and Night shifts
  • Perform risk assessments and adjust security protocols accordingly
  • Coordinate with clients, law enforcement, and emergency services
  • Ensure compliance with PSIRA regulations and company SOPs across all sites
  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and check health & safety standards
  • Manage incidents, complaints, and disciplinary matters; maintain records
  • Train staff and maintain professional standards
  • Support client contract reviews and prepare reports
  • Participate in after-hours incident handling and shift handovers
  • Act as the regional point of contact for urgent security issues

  • School Report or Certificate (Grade 12 or equivalent)
  • PSIRA Grade A registration
  • Security Management or Occupational Health & Safety training certificates
  • Firearm competency (Rifle or Handgun) is advantageous
  • Valid driver’s license and own vehicle are a plus

Working Shifts:

  • Standard office hours with availability for emergencies and after-hours support
  • On-call rotation for incident response, even on off days

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the delivery of security services across multiple sites and regions
  • Monitor staff deployment and ensure proper rostering of PSIRA-graded officers
  • Conduct client risk assessments and align security plans with business needs

  • Implement disciplinary procedures and maintain accountability
  • Handle audit results and corrective actions efficiently
  • Maintain strong client relationships and manage escalations promptly
  • Prepare operational reports for senior management
  • Conduct occasional site visits to ensure standards are maintained
