Job Summary
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced General Worker – Assistant. The successful candidate will assist the drivers with loading and offloading of trucks. Please refer to the minimum requirements, duties, and responsibilities outlined below for further information.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 | National Certificate
- Medically fit
- Reliable
- Ability to work safely and adhere to all safety requirements
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Clean criminal record
- Own reliable transport to and from work
- Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery used in cleaning
- Capable of walking, bending, pushing, pulling, and lifting repetitively during working hours
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals with proper storage and disposal methods
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as a team
- Strong organizational skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to identify and complete tasks without direct supervision
- Able to carry out reasonable instructions from Supervisor
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist truck drivers in loading and/or offloading
- Ensure that outside walkways remain clear and free of debris
- Inform building management of any repairs required
- Clean entire premises
- Maintain a clean and safe environment
- Perform adhoc duties as required
