AM Security Services is actively recruiting Armed Guard Officers to join our Public Safety Response Team. This critical role is essential in ensuring the safety and security of business environments, surrounding communities, and their customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond quickly and appropriately to clients’ emergency calls.
• Maintain visibility at standoff points and during area patrols.
• Perform access control duties effectively.
• Handle client complaints efficiently.
• Adhere to the disciplinary code at all times.
• Ensure the safety of clients through thorough premise checks.
• Uphold a high standard of service.
• Possess expert knowledge related to the position.
• Attend all required meetings and training sessions.
• Keep the assigned vehicle clean and tidy at all times.
• Assist with any arising problems or complaints.
• Submit comprehensive reports and feedback as requested.
• Complete daily, weekly, and checklists.
• Stand at designated posts during peak hours.
• Advise residents on potential security risks.
• Follow up with clients post-incidents and offer assistance.
• Conduct public relations services, including introduction calls to new clients.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum Psira Grade C (Renewed)
• Grade 12 qualification
• Reside in nearby areas: Strand, Somerset West, Gordons Bay, Eersteriver, or Stellenbosch
• Firearm Competency – Handgun (for Business Purpose)
• Armed Response Certificate
• Statement of Results for firearms training (SASSETA/PFTC)
• Experience as a Security Officer
• Willingness to undergo fitness and firearm proficiency assessments
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Neat and presentable appearance
• No criminal record
