Salary
- Grade 1: R338 206 โ R397 668 per annum

The remuneration package is structured in accordance with the Occupation Specific Dispensation (OSD) and includes applicable government service benefits.
Job Description
The successful candidates will deliver professional social work services aimed at protecting vulnerable individuals, strengthening families, promoting community development and improving social well-being. The role includes case management, community interventions, supervision of Social Auxiliary Workers and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and professional standards.

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor of Social Work qualification.
- Registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP) as a Social Worker.
- Grade 1: No experience required.
- Grade 2: Minimum of 10 years’ appropriate post-registration Social Work experience.
- Grade 3: Minimum of 20 years’ appropriate post-registration Social Work experience.
- Grade 4: Minimum of 30 years’ appropriate post-registration Social Work experience.
- Valid Code B driver’s licence or higher. Applicants with disabilities who have reasonable access to transport may also apply.

- Provide professional social work services to individuals, families, groups and communities.
- Promote the care, protection and development of vulnerable people.
- Conduct case work, group work and community development programmes.
- Provide support and supervision to Social Auxiliary Workers.
- Promote social change and community empowerment.
- Maintain professional records, reports and case documentation.
- Participate in continuous professional development.
- Implement social welfare legislation, policies and departmental programmes.
- Assist with crisis intervention and social support services.
- Perform administrative duties related to social work services.
