Process Operator Internship
Ulmo Water, through Cresco Consulting, is inviting applications for a Process Operator Internship at its Water Treatment Plant in Greenbay, Gordon’s Bay. Job Description
The Process Operator Intern will assist with the daily operation of the water treatment plant to ensure treated water consistently meets required quality standards. The successful candidate will participate in plant monitoring, equipment inspections, routine maintenance, operational reporting and compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
This position offers valuable practical exposure to modern water treatment technologies and operational processes within a growing engineering company.

Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
- Higher Certificate or Diploma in Water Care, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering or a related qualification will be advantageous.
- Previous experience in water treatment operations is beneficial but not essential.
- Basic understanding of water treatment processes will be advantageous.
- Mechanical aptitude involving pumps, valves, motors and control systems.
- Ability to interpret basic operational information.
- Reliable transport to and from the workplace.
- Willingness to work in an industrial environment.
- Physically fit and able to perform manual duties.

- Monitor and operate water treatment plant processes.
- Conduct routine inspections, sampling and water quality testing.
- Monitor and adjust chemical dosing and filtration systems.
- Record operational data and complete daily reports.
- Assist in identifying and resolving operational issues.
- Perform basic maintenance on pumps, valves and plant equipment.
- Support technicians during planned and corrective maintenance.
- Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping standards throughout the plant.
- Handle treatment chemicals safely and ensure proper storage procedures.
- Monitor chemical stock levels.
