About the Opportunity
Security Officers play an important role in ensuring the safety of people, property, assets, and information. The successful applicants will be expected to maintain a visible security presence, prevent unauthorised access, report incidents, and respond appropriately to emergencies while delivering professional customer service.
Applicants should be prepared to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and overtime when required.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must have:
- Grade 10, Grade 11 or Grade 12 qualification.
- Valid PSIRA Registration (Grade C, B or A).
- Security Training Certificate.
- Valid South African ID Copy.
- SARS Tax Number.
- Bank Confirmation or Bank Statement.
- Police Clearance Certificate.
- All supporting documents must be certified.

Duties and Responsibilities
Depending on the site where you are placed, your responsibilities may include:
- Controlling access and exit of employees, visitors and contractors.
- Conducting patrols around the premises.
- Protecting company property and client assets.
- Preventing theft, vandalism and unauthorised access.
- Reporting incidents to supervisors.
- Completing occurrence books and daily reports.
- Monitoring CCTV systems where applicable.
- Performing searches according to company procedures.
- Responding to alarms and emergencies.
- Assisting visitors with directions and enquiries.
- Maintaining professional conduct while on duty.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and PSIRA regulations.
- Working closely with supervisors and management.
- Reporting safety hazards immediately.
- Checking vehicles entering and leaving the premises where required.
- Conducting opening and closing inspections.
- Maintaining a safe and secure working environment.
