Job Purpose

Support the engineering department with technical and fieldwork as required within the area of accountability.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Grade 12
• Diploma: Diploma in Civil Engineering (NQF 6)
• Experience: 1 – 3 years in a relevant environment
• Licenses: Driver’s License

Core Responsibilities

• Participate in the specialist practice community and contribute to organisational knowledge management where possible.
• Assist with the implementation of engineering activities for the department.
• Adhere to all safety standards as per practice and process requirements.
• Assist with the maintenance of technical systems and technology.
• Escalate unresolved delivery and quality issues to operational management and process owners.
• Stay updated with legislation associated with engineering activities.
• Manage costs for new and upgraded connections and network reticulation to enhance service level agreements.
• Adhere to Batho Pele principles.
• Ensure a culture of excellent service delivery is attained and maintained.
