Job Description
AFGRI Equipment is looking for a reliable and responsible Driver to join our team in Bellville, Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of company vehicles, supporting the effective distribution and delivery of stock to outlets.
Requirements
Educational Qualifications
- Grade 12
- Valid driver’s license (Code EB is mandatory)
Work Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a driver/courier
- Experience within an agricultural environment is an advantage
Key Performance Areas
- Ensure all deliveries, logistics, and administration are executed professionally and efficiently
- Perform daily inspections on the vehicle to ensure roadworthiness
- Assist with stock counts and manage stock on the vehicle
- Assist with loading and offloading of stock
- Complete logbook daily, report delays and incidents/irregularities to the line manager
- Ensure that the branch fleet license discs are up to date
- Handle registrations for newly sold machines
Technical Knowledge/Competencies
- Valid Code 10 – C1 Driver’s License with PDP license
- Knowledge of the environment
- GPS and map reading skills
- Basic knowledge of farming activities and products
- Good verbal and written communication skills
